First things first. The only bad thing about this place is that I had to pay 200$ for the iv anesthesia for her to be put to sleep fully according to them. My wife claims she definitely without a doubt was not asleep and was awake the whole time just numb. She said she does remember still being able to look around but tried to keep her eyes closed and she felt pressure and heard it all. Even though we paid 200$ for the full knock out anesthesia that she did not receive. ANYWAYS My wife was so terrified of getting her teeth fixed. She hasn’t seen a dentist since she was 12 years of age and she’s 24, so you can see why there was a lot of anticipation for having dental work done. All she’s ever had her whole life was drills, fills, and cleanings. Throughout the years her teeth have gone to nothing. There were black teeth, some broken in half, and even some that were changing the color of her gums to black as well. She also never had her wisdom teeth grow in. Having said that, there was much work to do regarding her teeth. After an evaluation from a previous specialist, they recommended us to this place. It was great bc they do except Medicaid. I must say, I am impressed though. The building itself is neat and clean. The staff treat you like you’re their friend and speak to you with respect. They answer any questions you have without judgement and she was so comfortable coming back after her evaluation. The staff recognized her after one meeting and connected with her to give her reassurance on the surgery she would be facing. She had all 4 wisdoms removed as well as 4 extractions. She was in there maybe 40-45 minutes with anesthesia administered as well. EVEN THOUGH WE HAD THE ISSUE WITH WHAT TYPE OF ANESTHESIA, they took great care of her and talked her into it slowly to calm her nerves as well due to her anxiety. After she was done they took care of her and wheeled her down to the car for me making sure she was safely placed in our vehicle. Not even a few hours later they called to make sure everything was alright with her and asked if I had any questions or if she had any concerns or problems with the procedure so far. They seemed to care a lot for their patients. The stitches are healing nicely with the medications they’d given to her and although she was sore and swollen the first few days, she’s doing so much better now and hardly had any real pain the whole time according to her. She was up and moving around and speaking, though limited, just a few hours after the surgery like she didn’t even have an operation done on her mouth and has been good since. This was a lot to write and definitely a lot to read BUT this place is truly amazing and they helped her a lot throughout the whole thing. We do recommend this place for dental surgery because they treat you like family and that’s really important to newcomers like us. BUT MAKE SURE YOU TALK WITH THEM ABOUT THE ANESTHESIA THING!! Dr. Collins and his entire staff were extremely helpful, friendly and informative. It was our first visit and I have NEVER experienced that level of professionalism and care at any medical office I have visited with my children. My son and I couldn’t stop talking about them on the way home. So grateful that people who care about others still exist❤️
